Nigel Sylvester is a professional BMX athlete, creative director, entrepreneur, and philanthropist from Queens, New York. Known for pushing boundaries through his progressive riding style, distinctive artistic expression, and cinematic storytelling, Sylvester has redefined what it means to be an athlete in modern culture— operating at the intersection of sport, fashion, and creative innovation.
He made history as the first BMX athlete signed to Jordan Brand, delivering landmark sneaker collaborations including the 2025 Sneaker of the Year Air Jordan 4 “Brick By Brick” and the Air Jordan 1 Low “Better With Time.” Sylvester serves as Creative Advisor to New Era and collaborates with global brands including Mercedes-Benz, Saratoga, MTA, McDonald’s, David Yurman, Hyperice, Moncler, and Fendi—where he designed the house’s first-ever BMX bike.
He is the founder of GO, a sport-and-travel-inspired lifestyle brand and global movement centered on exploration and community. Through this platform, he hosts GO Ride, an annual international bicycle ride that brings together riders and communities across major cities worldwide.
In 2021, Sylvester launched the Nigel Sylvester Foundation, dedicated to empowering underserved youth through access to cycling, mentorship, recovery spaces, and financial literacy programming.
